I was excited to go to the War Memorial Service.I was also feeling honoured to go there. However,It was indeed saddening too as there were several people who died during the war and also sacrificed their lives for Singapore.I felt sad soon after that.It was indeed a serious matter.I could not understand why some people was laughing too.I was feeling sorry.

Dear Miss Chow,
I had a great time there! There were a lot of ants so I had no choice than to sit on the grass. I think going there is educational and had a great time at the War Memorial Service although it was quite devastating. I think the huge white thing we saw there was magnificent and is a great way to let us remember those people who died for Singapore. The bad thing was that there were a lot of ants and they keep distracting me and Imeaningful for us. I hope we will go there again when I am in secondary school but not sit on the grass!

The war memorial was an interesting experience for me. This was the first time i have gone to such a place. It was rather different and unique for me. I just did not like it that we had to sit on the grass. There were rather alot of insects on the grass. Furthermore i have never sat on the grass before thus it was different but yucky.

I first felt excited during the War Memorial Service. When the ceromony started,my friends an I gave full respect to the victims of the Japenese Occupation. Some of my friends did not give the respect which was expected by Mr Wong and Ms Chow.I felt disappointed towards my friends. All I know is that I enjoyed myslf during the ceremony.I also felt happy. After the ceromeny,we went back to school to continue studying.

On February 15 2008,Friday ,is our total defense day .I went to the Singapore War Memorial and listen to the siren that will be play if there is a war going on in Singapore .Each siren show something.
War Memorial is something that have all the dead people which help Singapore during World War 2.They are the one who help Singapore. Without them we will not be so safe like now ,maybe we will not even born. As a man we must also help Singapore if there is a war going on. We will play a part to defense Singapore .

Dear Ms Chow,
I was overwhelmed with sadness when we observed a minute of silence. My grandfather was a war victim. All of the intresting things my granny said about him raced through my mind as i tried to imagine how he looked like as he died.I've always wanted to see him as i am proud of my grandfather. Its also great to witness this solemn service as not many people could see it.There were many family members of different war victims. Also many news reporters who were snapping every angle of the War Memorial.
